  • no smoking in or around the building

  • no lingering around the building - we suggest people waiting for friends and/or early arrivals wait on the main street nearby, or on the public seating across the road

  • do not handle any of the clothing, implements, items, or decorative elements without prior permission or invitation

  • no fire or wax play is permitted

The Secret Society

A you ready to join a friendly and welcoming space where the guests take the lead?

All of our BDSM equipment is available for your use, but you are not under any pressure to play. Please take a couple of minutes to read through our expectations and conditions for guests at our events.

Liability:

By purchasing a ticket to our events you are consenting to enter the space with the potential of engaging in kink and BDSM activities, and are accepting all responsibility for the risks associated with this play. Your ticket purchase releases Studio of Secrets for any liability for injuries suffered as a result of your activity of choice.

If we observe any play we deem to be unsafe or likely to result in unforeseen injury, we will intervene to suggest safer options, or entirely stop the scene.

Early Arrivals:

Our doors will open at 8pm. If you arrive to the event early, please wait in your car or if taking an Uber or public transport go for a wander around the block or wait in the walkway across the road from the premises. We do not want people just hanging around outside the space, potentially drawing attention. We do not admit any early arrivals without prior negotiation

Dress Code:

Your comfort is our preference. Although we encourage you to dress in your fetish wear or something sexy, we also understand that can be difficult for some people, so our dress code is flexible. If you’re struggling for ideas, you could consider the following:

  •        basic black

  •        add a basic chest harness to your street wear

  •        smart casual

  •        cute onesie

  •        shirt and slax

What To Bring:

Aside from a friendly demeanour, and a willingness to enjoy your night you are welcome to bring the following:

  •        kink gear for your scene ie. impact toys, rope, needles, bondage equipment

  •        snacks/drinks for your night

  •       towels if you want or need a shower after play

What We Provide:

  •       complimentary tea and coffee

  •       light refreshments

  •       cleaning products ie. Viraclean, paper towels

  •    event photographer

  •      dungeon monitors

  • free cloakroom and locker storage

Keeping the Space Hygienic and Clean:

To ensure a clean and safe environment for all our guests, it is mandatory to clean up after your scene. Although we do encourage you to BYO cleaning items, you will find several clean-up stations throughout the space, with paper towel and Viraclean spray provided.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all surfaces you’ve played on have been thoroughly wiped down.

Please put ALL refuse, bio-waste, and recycling in the bins provided.

Drinking Alcohol:

We do allow you to BYO alcohol, but we do ask that you partake in moderation. We reserve the right to restrict your play if we feel you are impaired, and have you leave the premises if behaviour gets obnoxious.

Rope Suspension:

We have TWO suspension points in the main room that are controlled with block and tackle pulley systems. If you are wanting to use these suspension points please ensure you speak to Mistress Zoe. She will show you how the equipment works, assess your ability to work with our equipment, and ensure you have the required floor mats to proceed with your play.

Noise Restrictions:

Although the main space has great soundproofing, we need to be careful with noise in the smaller side room, and outside the building.

  •     If playing in the side room, we ask that you engage in relatively quiet activities.

  • When leaving or going outside for any reason, please do so quietly.

  • If you are waiting for an Uber or cab, please do so inside the venue, or arrange pick up from the main road.

It may not look like it, but there are some residences close to our location, and we would ask you are respectful of those around us, while also ensuring Studio of Secrets remains free of complaints from neighbouring properties.

Refund Policy

Please be mindful before purchasing a ticket and ensure you have the time and energy to come along and enjoy. And do keep in mind that tickets to our events are fully transferable so if you don’t want to pay fees or lose out on the ticket price we would encourage you to sell the tickets on rather than request a refund.

Up until now, our procedure for refunds has basically been a full refund up until a week prior to the event. We’ve been more than generous with this policy, often giving refunds up until the day prior to the event. Unfortunately this is not sustainable.

From here on in we will be taking a 25% admin fee for ALL refunds, regardless of timing or reason. And we will continue our policy of no refunds a week out from the event. Processing refunds is not an automated function. It takes time and energy that we need to be putting in elsewhere.

This hasn’t been an easy decision for us to make, and we did consider a range of options including ticket insurance and higher prices for tickets. This admin fee seems like the fairest way to keep everyone accountable, so we hope you can appreciate and respect our decision.
