Rough Body Play With Sasori and Bee

Rough body play embraces some of our most primal instincts, to engage in impact with our whole being, from backhands, to punches, kicks, knees and even headbutts. Breaking the traditional spanking mold, rough body play redefines the rules of body based impact, exploring more strike zones and more techniques for striking.

Sasori dives into this world armed with the acumen he has picked up from both kink education and personal understanding of striking, offering a perspective both to assist in learning the skill but also to help maintain your own health while engaging in this joyous form of impact. Meanwhile, Bee, as an experienced impact bottom, offers her own personal insight into pain processing, bracing, safety concerns and self care for during and after an intense scene. This workshop will include:

  • A primer on rough body play, exploring the types of strikes, the go’s and no-go’s of striking around the body and his own jovial opinion of why the headbutt is the best strike.

  • Safety, consent, risk and aftercare considerations when engaging in play with this type of kink

  •  Communication techniques for both bottoms and tops to help assist in calibration of strikes and individual body reactions to various areas being hit.

  • Hands-on work, focused on a slow and controlled introduction to striking around the body, including backhanding, open hand spanks and closed fist striking. Further elements may be added with time allowing.

  •  Participant Q&A where you can ask questions specific to your play style, size dynamic and restrictions.

This class encompasses the perspectives of players who are both giving and receiving this type of play and is intended to be an introduction to rough body play. As this is an introductory course, there are no prerequisites to undertake this course, however Martial Arts practitioners will be asked to identify themselves at the beginning of the class for safety reasons. As this is a practical class, students are encouraged to attend as a pair.

Concepts

  • What is rough body play?

Rough body play involves the use of your own body (hands, feet, legs, arms, head, elbows, knees, chest, chin???) to inflict pain upon another person. This may incorporate spanking which is a subset which involves only 1 body part as the implement and one body part as the target, rough body play may incorporate multiple body parts as implements and multiple body parts as targets.

Structure of class

  • Block of demos then practical

  • Do not retain all, but retain the concept

  • Always ask if unsure

Rough Body Class Will Cover:

Anatomy of a hit and its components:

  1.       What you are hitting with

    Forehand vs backhand

    Fists, knees, elbows, feet, headbutts

  2.       Where you are hitting

      Back, chest, thighs, calves

  3. Duration of impact

    Immediate remove versus firm hold

Backhanding versus forehanding:

  • In this class we will discuss both backhanding and forehanding

  • Back handing offers more variation in the type of strikes we can do and opens up more areas

  • Backhanding also offers a different sensation and may be more thuddy for someone

  • Forehanding can often be slappy/stingy unless you’re cupping your hand

Bracing:

  • For bottoms, bracing is not about bracing your muscles but ensure you’re stable in your position such that any sort of strike doesn’t make you fly across the room.

  • For tops, we know where the strike will come from when often the bottom does not, so holding our bottom with our free hand can add both a layer of comfort, feeling of safety and also help brace the bottom.

Negotiation considerations, triggers:

Main points: Spanks are very different to kicks or punches, be sure they are ok. "Hitting" is not all encompassing and the risk profiles are variable.

Sasori (He/Him)
Best described as a reaction fetishist, chaos gremlin and sadomasochistic switch, Sasori has spent his kink journey exploring the various means upon which he can elicit yelps, moans, giggles and screams from those he plays with. Initially trained in his home country of Australia, Sasori moved abroad for 8 years engaging various scenes across the US and Europe. As a product of his travels he expanded his repertoire with formal education and a plethora of diverse intensives; the result is a style that emphasizes connection, calculated risk, and jovial sadism within a chaotic and lighthearted package.

Semenawa Princess (They/She)

Bee has been an active member of the Melbourne community for over 2 years. Their interests range over various sadomasochist activities which include impact play, needle play, kinbaku and more. Following their passion in supporting community and advocacy for kink education, they have begun demo bottoming for both performance and education, hoping to help build a stronger community through their efforts.
